Fun Facts

Currently, I am planning a 400+ mile bicycle trip through the Midwest! I'm also 100% Irish and am planning on attending graduate school in the Spring. I've been visiting to Ireland every summer since I was two, and am a massive Led Zeppelin fan!

About Me

Currently, I am attending chicago">Loyola University Chicago in pursuit of a degree in History with a minor in English. My overall GPA is 3.8101 and my major GPA is 3.90. However, I'm graduating in December and about to begin a Master's Program with my soon-to-be Alma mater. I've been recognized by the university several times, including being invited to join the Gold as well as Maroon Society and National Society for Collegiate Scholars, and I've been honored by being on the Dean's List every semester barring the first fall.

My experience is mostly impromptu chicago">tutoring of my friends and family, especially my younger brother, in history and English from the elementary to the secondary level. For my "students," I've organized study schedules, homework plans and several Powerpoint presentations that correspond to the lessons. During my career in chicago">Loyola University Chicago, I continued this process. In the various study groups I organized, I planned the meetings, answered any and all questions posed and helped lead other students in studying. I am also certified to teach ESL if the need arises. Through Frog chicago">Tutoring, I hope to expand myself as a teacher and chicago">tutor for, hopefully, a career in education after my graduate work.

Throughout my childhood, I grappled with a particularly short attention span. I rarely sat still long enough for lessons, and struggled to learn at the teacher's pace. However, through structured and organized lessons, I gained a strong ability to absorb and understand information. As such, I am a strong proponent in structured individualism."Each student is inherently different, and therefore a chicago">tutor must be prepared to provide a personalized chicago">tutoring experience. As such, my approach relies on organizing lesson plans based upon key areas I believe are the most important. After a few meetings, I would adjust my plans depending on the student's interests and needs, and encourage them to investigate their areas of interest.
