College Algebra Tutoring

I took Algebra for Scientists and Engineers for my Biology degree and received an A in the class. I have experience solving real-world scenarios relative to the field and how to apply Algebra in solving for the situations. Though I do not have official experience tutoring for this particular subject, I do have the capability to mentor a student in this subject and the intellectual skills to problem-solve and ensure the student has a full understanding of the concept by giving relevant examples.

I am familiar with the different writing formats used such as MLA and APA as well as internal citations. I have experience with annotations and and general familiarity with English vocabulary implemented in class and essays.

Homework Coach Tutoring

Through my involvement as a tutor for the MacTEACH Peer to Peer Tutoring Program in high school, I tutored several high school students in coursework, homework, and test prep to provide them with the additional assistance needed to succeed in their class. I would tutor students 3-4 times a week and I ensured the students I worked with had a complete understanding of the concepts. I helped them complete their work and implemented various methods according to the student's needs to ensure effective learning and productivity.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring
