Fun Facts
My passion is to work with ESL students in High School and College and Beyond. I also like to weave, read, and most of all is to simply laugh at the mistakes I make and learn as I go forward in life!
About Me
I am a mother of 3 children. One has been on the spectrum. I say has been because he fully functions, graduated college and was on an adaptive device from the age of 6. He taught me how to be a team mate. I have a Masters Degree from Teachers College Columbia University. I have traveled a lot but the best place I have been was the middle east and a photographic Safari in Africa.
Experience
i have tutored for 20 years in the areas that were based on my education in Speech language, and Presentation. I have had numerous courses since school and have worked with many disabled and also able people of all ages. It is my joy to do this sort of work because I see progress and I learn from each person I meet.
Approach
My approach is to learn and accept a student from where he or she is at the time I meet the student. I then plan out the path forward with an understanding of what the student wishes to accomplish. We become a team and we together work hard to get to where we need to go. I believe in huge positive energy and reinforcement. I make it clear that with each mistake we learn something so we should treasure the mistakes just as we treasure the successes.
