Fun Facts

I am a music-lover, pianist, ukulelist, mountain-climber, photographer, film-maker, neuroscience-researcher, cook, plant-keeper, healthcare-activist, coffee-loving barista, and – the most important among them – a student! I aim ambitiously high and hope that I can inspire others to do the same as a result.

About Me

I am a junior (senior credit standing) molecular biology (with a cognitive neuroscience concentration) and socio-legal studies double major, pursuing a B.S. degree. After I graduate in May of 2019, I hope to attend medical school somewhere in the Northeast, pursuing a career as a clinician specializing in Emergency and Addiction Medicine. I also want to attain an MPP, MPH, or something of the like, as I believe that public policy is a critical determining factor of the health of a society.

Experience

Aside from my completed advanced coursework within my majors, I have experience tutoring students through the National Honor Society in high school. I also have spent quite a bit of time teaching students of all ages, working as a counselor for many residential summer camps, leading groups of freshman orientation leaders, teaching Sunday school, and more. I am excited to continue my passionate ability to help students succeed with Frog Tutoring.

Approach

As a college student myself, I understand that the motivation to study – let alone the ability to understand and then retain the information studied – is a universal challenge. I believe that hard work and diligence are sourced from conceptual excitement about a subject, and I undoubtedly look forward to inspiring that in each of my students. Additionally, I understand that study skills and time management are critical for academic success, and I am eager to prioritize this with my students.
