Fun Facts

If I'm not working, I'm usually riding my bike and playing with my dog. I also listen to a lot of music, especially rock and hip hop.

About Me

I graduated from Duquesne University with an MA in philosophy in 2018. Prior to that, I studied philosophy at Seattle University and graduated from the honors program and with a BA magna cum laude. I currently live in Pittsburgh, PA with my dog, Dio.

Experience

I first tutored people at Heritage High School, where I taught remedial math to students with learning disabilities and other impediments to success. Since then, I've held a number of teaching, tutoring, and academic positions including serving as a tutor at the Duquesne Logic Lab, a seminar leader with Duquesne Minorities and Philosophy, a conference organizer at the pittsburgh">University of Pittsburgh, and a teacher at the Big Idea Bookstore.

Approach

When I was younger, I was generally uninterested in school. It was only when a teacher of mine showed me the relevance of subjects like history and economics to my daily life that I took an interest in learning. When working with students, I attempt to bring out this relevance to transform dry, academic topics into investigations of our own lives that can shape the way we live and the choices we make on a day to day basis.
