Fun Facts

I was born in Haiti. I moved in the US in 2012. My English is excellent. My goal is to be a science college professor one day. In addition to be a science nerd, I am also love watching animes and marvel movies.

About Me

I graduated last year with a bachelor in Forensic Science. I am currently finishing my gap year as an AmeriCorps member. Soon after, I will be pursuing my master degree in cell biology at Drexel University. Hopefully, after this step to moves on to earning my PhD in that subject.

Experience

I have been exposed to many different professional experiences that will make me an asset to your work. From my first academic lab experience at Alfred State to my post-graduate research position at Temple University, combined with a year of AmeriCorps service, I believe that I am capable to be a successful tutor to you. I am comfortable to collect and analyze data, and create sessions that are tailored to individual needs of students.

Approach

As an educator, I believe that all students have the potential to learn and be successful if the teaching approach takes into consideration the student’s needs. It’s important to look at the teacher-students relationship as mentor-mentee. With this approach, we deeply understand the learning style of students and care about them as young people. As a result, we can use that understanding to enforce academic knowledge while giving tools that can help students grow as an independent learner.

Biology II Tutoring

This course was a requirement during the second semester of freshman year in undergraduate school. In order to pass this course for my program a grade of B or higher was needed.

Biology Tutoring

I never had to take biology in High school, but I am certain that I will be able to manage this level of difficulty. Of course, as a tutor I am willing to admit when I am ignorant in a particular topic, which is a value that all learner should possess.

Biology AP Tutoring

I believe that AP biology is similar to biology in undergrad; therefore, I believe I possess enough knowledge and experience to be an excellent tutor in this area.

Genetics Tutoring

I had the opportunity to take Genetics in undergrad and I am also taking advance cell biology and cell to system courses at Drexel University. These courses provide me extensive knowledge in this field.
