Fun Facts
I love to help in literally any way possible, but especially when I am able to share a passion or make a huge difference in someone else's life. I enjoy playing Volleyball and volunteering. Some activities I have participated in are swimming, volleyball, tae kwon do, marching band, Boy Scouts, public speaking etc. I also like trying new things(food related) and exploring new places!
About Me
I am going to be a sophomore at the University of the Pacific. I am in the 3+3 Pre-Pharmacy Program. I am currently interning for Walgreens Pharmacy and hope to gain experience, get to know people, and simply get a feel for the work environment. It has been very stressful but I know that I am making a difference in our patients' lives.
Experience
I have taught Tae Kwon Do to White through Black belts. These classes consist of all ages including ages 7 to 50. I have also coached volleyball at Sacred Heart School to 5th-8th Boys and Girls. I've collected over 800 hours of volunteering at local homeless shelters, the American Cancer Society Discovery Shop Los Gatos, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, etc. I have gained strong leadership skills on our Town's Community and Senior Services Commission as one of two student commissioners.
Approach
As a child, I definitely struggled in school, but as I have grown older I've really gained an interesting in learning and understanding the importance of the information that is being taught. By also having a younger brother, I have been encouraged to learn new ways and methods to teach certain concepts in a simple way. I have helped him complete countless school projects, proofread his essays, and taught him study skills that are crucial for him in the long run.
