I’m an amateur astrologist. I love the stars, constellations, and each new moon phase. I can find the Big Dipper anywhere in the world. I enjoy hiking and being outdoors and copious amounts of french fries. I have a twin sister and I am the oldest of three though not by more than 5 minutes.

About Me

Hello, my name is Geneva. I have a B.A. in Creative Writing and Literature. I have worked as a Para-educator for 7 years, helping children and adults learn to read, write and understand literature. I have worked for writing summer camps and led writing workshops for groups of about 15 - 20 people. I enjoy reading, writing, and anything to do with words. I can assist with reading comprehension, creative brainstorming, final edits, and revisions. I would be happy to help you improve your writing

Experience

I have been working in schools for over 7 years as a substitute teacher, ESL Tutor, and and Instructional aide. I’ve worked with all ages from preschool to highschool, and even young adults. I have worked for swing eduction, cambly and I have even run online writing summer camps. My first job as English Tutor with Engage Santa Fe inspired me to help others. Approach

As a tutor, my approach is a combination of questioning, light guidance and instruction. I want my students to ask lots of questions about their work and progress. My goal is to lead students to the right answers. While also improving their ability to think and form new ideas on the concepts they are learning. Whatever material is being delved into will be approached with curiosity and discovery in mind. Helping others learn to read, write, and understand is my main goal.
