Fun Facts

I am a certified scuba diver and have dived in Jamaica and Mexico. I am very interested and getting more practice diving so that it can become a hobby that I am passionate about.

About Me

I just completed my Bachelor's in Chemistry from Georgia State University and am preparing for the MCAT and applying to medical schools. I hope to receive admission into medical school within one to three years.

Experience

While in college, I served as a teaching assistant for various chemistry labs. My duties were to assist students with difficult experiments and to grade exams. When I was a senior in high school, I had the opportunity to tutor underclassmen in various sciences, most notably physics.

Approach

In elementary school, I frequently struggled with academics after being diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome. After getting far behind my classmates, my parents sent me to Sylvan Learning Center, where I received tutoring in reading/comprehension and grammar. After a few years, I recovered academically and was able to earn a 4.0 GPA in high school and college. Having had difficulty in school, I understand what students in similar situations are undergoing and am passionate about helping them.
