Fun Facts

Despite being an economics major, one of my biggest passions is airplanes and aviation. I like to think of myself as a flight simulator aficionado, knowing my way around most Boeing and Airbus cockpits. I am also a competitive chess player with an ELO rating of 1500.

About Me

I am an Economics major at the washington-university">George Washington University graduating in 2019. My areas of expertise are in microeconomic theory, macroeconomic equilibrium models, econometrics/statistics, and financial markets. I am currently applying for financial analyst positions at private banks, mutual funds, and hedge funds.

Experience

In high school I acted as a peer tutor for IGCSE and IB exams. The subjects I tutored were chemistry, biology, history, and mathematics. Outside of tutoring, I have spent the past few years interning at both the private banking division of Wells Fargo under one of its subsidiaries, and at Fidelity under one of its private custodian firms.

Approach

My approach to tutoring economics/statistics/mathematics is to ensure the student has a good fundamental understanding of the concepts. Once this is established I seek to demonstrate how these principles make up a student's problem solving 'tool box,' where the student applies different problem solving approaches using the concepts already learnt.
