Fun Facts

My biggest passion is music. I love to sing, listen to music, make music and try to learn new instruments. I'll often start singing to myself at random times while I'm doing something else or just feel the urge to play music. Although I currently play drugs, I'd like to learn to play the guitar and keyboard someday.

About Me

I am a Chemical Engineering major at the University of Rhode Island. I'm a member of various student associations as well as a fraternity. My ultimate professional goal is to become and entrepreneur.

Experience

I started tutoring in high school. I went to public school where everyone was taught the same way and student often had difficulty understanding the teachers. I discovered at an early age that people learned in different ways so in my classes, I would try to find a easier or faster way (for me) to understand the material and taught my friends my approach which seemed to work better for them. It wasn't till my peers suggested I become a tutor that I gave it a thought.

Approach

I had a cousin who found learning to be difficult. His parents where hard on him because they couldn't understand why he was doing worse than the rest of us children so I started trying to help him out. It was through this that I developed my own approach to learning. I realized that there isn't a one size fit all formula for learning. People learn in different ways and with different approaches. So I help my students find their own unique approach and help them become independent learners.
