About Me
This past May, I graduated with a Master's in Medicine, Health, and Society from Vanderbilt University. For undergrad, I double majored in psychology and sociology. I was a member of the Dean's List throughout my tenure at Vanderbil. After playing professional soccer for a few years, I hope to pursue a Ph.D. in clinical psychology.
Experience
During graduate school, I worked as a teaching assistant helping the professor with classroom instructions, exams, and various grading. This position gave me the opportunity to provide one-on-one tutoring services for students who need extra help understanding the material. During undergrad, I volunteered at an elementary school teahing children of all ages how to read. This experience really ignited my passion for helping people learn!
Approach
My professors in college really challenged me to think critically about the world that I live in. As a tutor, I help my students beome active learners and engaged in the learning process! Through positive affirmation and encouragement, I help students learn the material through applying it to their day to day life. By focusing on the relevance of education, I help students have a fun and interactive learning session that helps them truly be engaged in both in and outside the classroom!
