Fun Facts
I love music and often play guitar, violin, and piano in my free time. I also love to paint and to fold origami. I am also fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English (although I can't read or write Chinese very well).
About Me
I am a sophomore Finance and Economics major at Northeastern University. I maintained a position on the Dean's List throughout my semesters. I hope to also get a math minor if I find space in my schedule as well. My dream is to make a difference in the world.
Rather than focusing on receiving good grades, I want to ensure that the student truly understands the concepts. This is crucial for the information learned to actually be useful in real life and the future
Experience
As someone who recently graduated high school, I understand the difficulties most students face in school and how to get through them. I have had two tutoring jobs in the past in Math Squared and Kumon where I taught elementary schoolers in math and English. Because I haven't taken many general education courses in college, I find myself forgetting some information I learned in high school. I hope that working at Frog Tutoring will help me regain my skills and help some students as well.
Approach
I actually had ADHD growing up, so I understand how many students struggle to focus and engage in school. I know how to make environments fun and productive at the same time. I don't think the main goal of tutoring is to get good grades. I stress much more on actually learning skills that will help in the future. I am a firm believer in a positive attitude and gentle encouragement rather than strict "tiger mom" rules.

Finance and Economics
Accounting Tutoring
I took accounting in college and received an A. The memory of accounting is still fresh, so I am confident I can teach it well. I can make this notoriously boring subject a little more fun.
Algebra Tutoring
I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade and received an A both semesters. I took Algebra 2 Honors in sophomore year of high school and received an A in one semester and a B+ on the second. My best subject is math, and Algebra is pretty easy to me because I have taken higher level math that builds on basic high school Algebra.

I took Algebra 1 in 8th grade and received an A both semesters. I took Algebra 2 Honors in sophomore year of high school and received an A in one semester and a B+ on the second. I took AP Calculus AB in my senior year of High school and received a 5 on the AP test. I understand the tricks and methods of fully understanding the problems. Calculus was by far my favorite class in high school.
Economics Tutoring
I took basic economics in high school and Macroeconomics in College. Economics is my major, so I definitely understand the topic and am very passionate about it.
