Fun Facts
I have a passion for learning all things tech, video games, drones & cooking. I love both PC & Console games and on the weekends you may find me playing WoW or my Classic NES. I also fly my drone on the weekends attempting to avoid trees, i've seen many get eaten up that way. Lastly, I am a new vegetarian who likes to experiment with new dishes.
About Me
I am a working professional in IT and have a MS degree in Management of Technology from NYU I obtained while employed full-time. During my time at NYU, I learned to build effective study, time management and organization skills. I hope to one day teach at the college level and obtain my PhD.
Experience
I've had the pleasure of tutoring & serving as a teaching assistant for elementary, middle, and high school students in college, for both my Associate and Bachelor degree programs. and a NYU mentor two consecutive semesters within my Master degree program. .I also tutored apart of the No Child Left Behind program post graduation which served minority students in math and reading. Also in my previous roles I often taught technology concepts to my peers. These experiences were very rewarding.
Approach
As I attended school as a child, I've learned that creative teachers more effectively keep interest of the student as well as customized teaching to connect with the student on the level they are on. Using real world practical examples when teaching complex concepts to relate to the student is key. As a tutor, I believe patience & listening is key and I bring those characteristics to each tutoring session I have.
