Fun Facts

Coming from a Russian-Jewish origin, I consider both Hebrew and Russian as my native languages. I regularly speak both languages at home and in general I'm a big fan of reading prose and poetry. I'll also add that I play the guitar and the piano. Music is a big passion of mine. I play in a band, and we are currently in the process of recording an album.

About Me

Born in Israel, I moved to the States just in time to do high-school here in the States. I would describe myself as the artsy type of person.
I like reading and music and my personal goal is to become a great film director. That said I also have a passion for academics. At school my favorite subjects were English, History and Biology.

Experience

I have worked as a tutor for several years, usually my students were aged 7-12. The main subjects I tutored were reading comprehension and math. I also did a lot of general homework help. I also had experience working with ESL students, focusing on grammar, reading and conversational English.

Approach

I believe that every student is different. Some learn better if you provide them the framework and support to do the work on their own, while others thrive when you walk them through the details. I find it important to adjust to the student's speed and way of learning. In my experience, patience and attentiveness are often key to productivity.
