Fun Facts

Aside from teaching, I also adore reading and peforming as a professional actress, especially in the classics. I am also obsessed with animals. As a member of various Shakespeare companies, I have performed in 29 of Shakespeare's plays, playing over 50 different characters.

About Me

I grew up in Orlando, Florida. I then went north where I graduated in 2003 with a B.F.A. in Theatre Arts from the cincinnati">University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. I have worked as an actor and, teacher, and tutor in New York City, Orlando, and Portland.

Experience

For the past ten years I have been tutoring students mostly in the following subjects: Literature, Poetry, Folklore, Mythology, Theatre Arts, Shakespeare, and Public Speaking. I have been a professional teacher in schools for five years teaching Theatre and Folklore/Mythology in Elementary, Middle, and High Schools. I also teach Shakespeare classes, camps, and workshops to students ranging from 6 to adults of all ages and experience.

Approach

I love tutoring because I love inspiring students with a love for the subjects at hand through the passion and excitement I feel for the subjects I teach. I bring a ton of energy to my sessions and never give up on a student until they feel a confidence for the subjects that they can bring into to the school classroom.
