This year I have discovered the beautiful and time-consuming world of anime and manga. I have also began my journey in the kitchen and finally started cooking, exploring my skill (or lack thereof). I will never say no to milk tea or coffee, and will add boba to mostly any drink if I can.

About Me

HI, I'm Eve, a Fort Worth resident for 10 years now. I'm currently a sophomore at the University of Texas at Arlington. My major is in the Modern Language program: Korean. I am truly enjoying what I'm studying right now; I know I've found my passion. For my post-undergrad study, further study of Korean at UCLA is a possibility and, perhaps, even earning a Masters abroad in South Korea. I would love to live in South Korea at one point in my life whether that be soon or later on in the future.

Experience

For a short time I volunteered with an after-school program with Oakmont Elementary. I primarily helped children in the first grade and younger with reading and reading comprehension assignments. For the past year and a half I have been teaching myself Korean. Through my self-study I became proficient enough to test out of Korean I at UT Arlington. I would love to share my passion for Korean with others as well as sharpen and develop skills in teaching.

Approach

I am convinced I will never forget my high school math teacher. I went from making 50's on my math tests to earning A averages in algebra through trigonometry. It has been a quiet aspiration of mine to touch people the way she did me. She introduced an interactive method of learning involving games and strong team mentality. I believe repetition and knowledge of HOW one learns is vital to efficient learning. My approach is to understand how my student learns and maintain a laid-back atmosphere.
