Fun Facts

I am a typical, nerdy biology kid, but I have a deep artistic passion for literature from 1920-1970. I am constantly reading, sketching, painting, or playing music when I am not researching science. I am a published author, with my first poetry publication occurring when I was 10 years old, as a result of winning a regional contest. I love black and white film, and broadway musicals.

About Me

I am a freshman at washington/seattle">seattle-university">washington/seattle">Seattle University. I am majoring with a BS in Forensic Science, with a minor in Biology. I have aspirations to work as a medical examiner or forensic anthropologist after college. In high school, I was awarded with three AP Scholar awards: AP Scholar with Honors, in 2010, and AP Scholar with Distinction twice, in 2012 and 2013.

I have a great deal of academic diversity and experience, and I am a twice-awarded AP Scholar with Distinction, with advanced proficiency in all subjects. Some courses I have excelled in are all mathematics up to Calculus B/C, Biology, History (American Government, World History), and English Literature/Language, and Contemporary Literature. At my high school in California, Great Oak, I was a volunteer student washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutor in Biology, AP Biology, Anatomy and Physiology, and English at all levels for all four years. I was also an assistant music teacher from freshman to senior year, teaching students between the ages of 10-14 how to read music and play the violin, clarinet, and saxophone.

I work very well with my peers, and work actively behind the scenes to format the information in a comprehensive and learner-specific way. Characteristically, I like to prepare material in advance, if possible, in order to accommodate the learning level and method of the student I am washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring. I value the students I am washington/washington/seattle">seattle">tutoring very highly, and regard them always as intellectuals, and capable of achieving the grades they deserve, despite the level they are starting from. I know from experience that not every teacher can cater to a specific student's learning methods. For example, visual, aural, kinesthetic, and repetitive learning.
