Fun Facts

One of my favorite things to do is hunt. My family has a ranch in West Texas and during dove and deer season, you can find me there almost every weekend. During off season, there is nothing more relaxing than going to the middle of nowhere and watching the wildlife.

About Me

I graduated from Tarleton State University in 2011 with a Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a 3.5 GPA. Following graduation, I was a Elementary classroom teacher for two years. While teaching, I attended austin-state-university">Stephen F. Austin State University and received my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with a 4.0 GPA. My ultimate goal is to make a difference in children's lives and education.

As a education major college student, I had the opportunity to tutor students weekly in all subject areas who were struggling to pass the STAAR test in Middle School and High School. After graduation, as an Elementary classroom teacher, I gained much more experience tutoring my students after class with whichever subject they were struggling with.

My tutoring approach is to find the student's strength and use that to build confidence within them. Positive reinforcement and praise is the best way to get a student motivated and and the best results. Instead of giving them the answers, show them the way to find the solution themselves.
