Fun Facts
I feel that one of the first things people notice about me is that I am super passionate about everything I do! I love tennis, basketball, dancing, and singing. In my spare time, I enjoy working out, reading novels and American short stories, and writing. I am the oldest of three biological children, but my parents recently adopted two more kids, so now I am the oldest of five!
About Me
I am currently a sophomore in the English Education program at NC State University. After graduation with a bachelors degree, I plan to attend either the University of North Carolina in Greensboro or Charlotte to obtain a master's and doctorate in Educational Leadership. I plan to start my career with teaching in a classroom, and eventually move to school administration.
Experience
I have experience tutoring elementary aged students, middle school aged students, and high school aged students. I love help people, and to see them succeed! My job here at Frog Tutoring as a tutor allows me to help students in the best way possible.
Approach
I have always been dedicated to my academics, and also to helping my peers around me succeed. Throughout my challenging academic career, I have had many teachers that were willing to go the extra mile to help me succeed. As a tutor, I strive to duplicate that attitude, and help students in every way I can.

English Education
AP English Tutoring
In high school, I took every AP English class that was offered to me. In these classes, I excelled and made high A's. I also passed my AP tests at the end of the courses.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
In high school, I excelled in the literature portion of my courses. I am obtaining a minor in American Literature, and the classes required for this minor are based on comprehension. I have also helped tutor students in this subject before.
Writing Tutoring
Writing is personally one of my favorite parts of English, and I love helping other people find a passion for it too. I have been through a very grammar intensive class, and I passed it with a high A. As an English major, I do a lot of writing, and I believe that it is an extremely important skill to have.

When enrolled in middle school English classes, I was always at the top of my class with high A's. These classes are where I developed my love for the subject. I also have experience tutoring kids in middle school level English courses.
Study Skills Tutoring
Throughout my academic career, I have learned how very important studying is. I believe that it is helpful for students to know as many studying skills as possible so they can find the one that works best for them. While I have researched study skills for myself, I am prepared to share these skills to help other students succeed.
Homework Coach Tutoring
I have experience helping students of elementary age with their homework. I believe that knowing the value of homework at a young age is very important. As a homework coach, I will help students return to class with confidence in their work.
