Fun Facts
I love nature and hiking. I have visited 13 National Parks, and will add another five by Thanksgiving! I love exercise and the outdoors. I was a part of the Longhorn Singers while at UT and began dancing at age two. I have performed in 15 musicals and absolutely love to sing and dance!
About Me
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development. My minor was in Fine Arts. I am in my 11th year of teaching. For nine years, I taught fourth grade. I taught all subjects for five years before switching to math and science. I am currently in my second year teaching Fine Arts in elementary school. I am also currently halfway to earning my Masters degree in Mathematics K-8 from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Experience
I am in my 11th year of teaching. Math and the Arts are my passion! I have tutored students since I began teaching as well. I am also a volunteer with a local community children's theatre. I am hopeful I can help even more children in the local Fort Worth area!
Approach
I feel it is the responsibility of a teacher to teach where the child is. My first session would involve finding out a child's strengths before deciding on a personal learning path. It is important to teach children to become problem solvers and life-long learners who persevere through difficulty. It is my belief that teachers should teach this essential skill to ensure the success of our students.

I taught 4th grade math for nine years. I am currently halfway through earning my Masters degree in Mathematics grades K-8. I have a 4.0 GPA. I am certified in the state of Texas to teach math in grades K-8.
Arts Tutoring
I have a minor in Fine Arts from The University of Texas at Austin. I am currently a Fine Arts teacher in elementary school. I teach both music and art to all levels Kindergarten through fifth grade.

I taught 4th grade math for nine years. During that time, I have also tutored students of various grade levels outside of the school day. I attended professional development and took math courses. I currently have 15 hours of graduate studies in Mathematics K-8 at University of Texas at Arlington. I should finish my Masters degree within the year.
Reading Comprehension Tutoring
I have taught all subjects in 4th grade and I am very familiar with what is expected at each grade level. I have tutored students in reading and have worked on comprehension strategies.
Science Tutoring
I taught math and science only in 4th grade for four years after teaching all subjects for five. I am very aware of the requirements in science. I am well-versed in what all students should know.
Social Studies Tutoring
I taught 4th grade for nine years. For five of those years I taught social studies. I have attended district professional development and am well-versed in what all students need to know.
Study Skills Tutoring
I have taught for eleven years. I am able to help students learn the best way for them to study for upcoming tests and be organized.
Writing Tutoring
I taught 4th grade for nine years where the STAAR Writing test is extremely important. I have taken countless professional development courses to help create unique and special writers.
