Fun Facts
I love traveling! I rebuilt a camper van and drive it around America whenever I have a break. I grew up with farm animals (goats, peacocks, turkeys, ducks, quail, chickens, honey bees) because my mom raised them as her hobby. I’m the 3rd oldest of 4, ranging from 27-16 years old. My siblings and I were all homeschooled until middle school. I was on the dance/drill team at Grapevine High School. And I love tutoring!
About Me
I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Texas at Arlington. I hope to eventually get a job in one of the major Engineering corporations in DFW (Lockheed Martin, Bell Helicopter, Cummins, Etc). I graduated from GHS with 46 credits toward college from AP courses and a Distinguished Graduate award. I was in the National Honor Society and 7 other clubs in high school. I would love to eventually work as a volunteer tutor in my free time once I'm a working Engineer.
Experience
I have over 8 years of tutoring experience and have tutored over 60 students in total, most of which were relatively long term (I worked with them the whole class or multiple classes). I have had students in middle school through college.
Approach
I find that a teacher can make or break a class. This is the number one reason I tend to get students who need tutoring. I have had to teach myself a class or two in the past. To combat this, I like to let students lead our sessions and find what topics they need help with and I teach them in a personalized way. I make a point to morph my teaching methods to each student, and usually it is fairly obvious what methods click right away. Everything I do I try to personalize to the student.

Mechanical Engineering
Business Calculus Tutoring
Business Calculus is based in Calculus 1 (AB). I took Calculus 1 as an AP course in high school and earned a 5/5 on the AP exam. I tutored Business Calculus to 3 students at UNT, 3 students at UNT, 2 students at TCC, and over 10 students at TCU. I have over 4 years of experience tutoring Calculus 1 to high school and college students.
Calculus I Tutoring
I earned a 5/5 on the AP Calculus AB exam in high school. I have 4 years experience tutoring Calculus 1 to students in high school through college (including UNT, TCU, UTA, and TCC).
Chemistry I Tutoring
I received an A in Chemistry from UTA 3 years ago and have tutored it to UTA and TCU students every year since then.
College Algebra Tutoring
I received A's in Algebra 1 and 2 in high school and made a 100% on the algebra exam for UTA (that allowed me to prove I was ready to take Calculus). I have several years experience tutoring College Algebra to TCU and TCC students.
Physics I Tutoring
I received a 5/5 on the AP Physics I exam in high school and have tutored it for years to high school and college students. My major is very physics-based and most of my current and past classes involve physics so it's always fresh on my mind!
Pre Calculus Tutoring
I received an A in PreCalculus in high school. I have 5 years experience tutoring this course to 7 students ranging from high school to TCU and TCC.
Algebra Tutoring
I received A's in Algebra 1 and 2 in high school and made a 100% on the algebra exam for UTA (that allowed me to prove I was ready to take Calculus). I have several years experience tutoring College Algebra to TCU and TCC students.
