About Me

I'm a freshman nursing major and a division 1 field hockey player at La Salle University. I grew up in the suburbs outside of Philadelphia so I'm familiar with the area. I'm very passionate about nursing and I'm thoroughly enjoying my studies! I would like to go on and become a nurse practitioner after I graduate. My goal is to work at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. I love children and babysit frequently for families in my area. I cannot wait to work in Pediatrics!

Experience

As a high school student, I tutored children in elementary and middle school in all areas of education. As I got older and more experienced, I began tutoring students in high school in areas that I was comfortable teaching. I'm also a youth lacrosse and field hockey coach so I have a lot of experience with children.

Approach

I have always had to go the extra mile in order to succeed in the classroom. I know what it's like to feel discouraged when it comes to school. I try my hardest to make students feel as though they're capable of doing anything as long as they work hard. Being a student-athlete, I believe study skills and time management are crucial pieces of learning, and so I incorporate study skills into my tutoring sessions.
