About Me
Aidan Bassett attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied economics, political science, and French. Aidan also wrote for the Berkeley Political Review and edited for the Berkeley Economic Review as well as the UC Berkeley newspaper, The Daily Californian.
Experience
I have worked as a college admissions consultant and certified SAT tutor, and I specialize in editing analytical writing. I have taught SAT II Math subject test intensive courses, and I have written and edited for college publications regarding economics, political science, and print journalism. I have mentored elementary schoolers in literacy skills, tutored middle and high schoolers in math & French, and peer-tutored for AP exams including BC Calculus, English Literature, and Macroeconomics.
Approach
As a student who learns best by asking questions, Aidan loves the natural dialogue of the classroom and enjoys engaging students with questions and a sense of humor. He likes working one-on-one as well as teaching classes, and he particularly enjoys connecting with students while they work through the challenging college process.
