When I'm not spending my time studying or working I love to play guitar or watch anything that has comic book characters in it. I also have a passion for tinkering with things and inventing new products.
About Me
I am currently a senior Biology Major at Concordia University with a pre-med focus. I enrolled into Concrodia after finishing a 4 year term as a combat medic/ health care specialist in the U.S. Army. Upon graduation I hope to attend Dr. Willaim M. School of Podiatric Medicine and become a podiatrist surgeon.
Experience
Before my enrollment at Concordia University I served as a combat medic in the U.S. Army. During this time I gained a national license to be a EMT as well as extensive army combat trauma care. Throughout my four years my duties included teaching trauma classes to non-medical professions (totaling over 30 classes), running on base aid stations, as well austere environment medical outposts. I had the privileged to work in 2 separate on base clinics under a handful of different doctors.
Approach
I have found that my largest struggles in my science classes stemmed from the information not being related to me or to the real world. My approach is to make the information more retained by relating the information. An example being showing someone who may play sports the impact cellular respiration has on fitness goals.

Anatomy Physiology I Tutoring
Upon taking the course on 3 separate occasions I received the highest test scores in the class. I am currently a Pre-Med student and have been working in the medical field for 7 years. The field of Anatomy and Physiology is my biggest passion.

I have taken and completed college level Biochemistry as well as spending over 200 plus hours outside of class studying the material for the MCAT exam. Biochem is another passion subject of mine due to its breakdown of how we as people live and survive based on a chemical level.

Genetics was certainly one of the most exciting classes I had the opportunity to teach while studying biology. Throughout the course I aided many of my fellow classmates in studying and preparing for future tests. I also spent many hours outside of class studying the material that related to the MCAT.

I have taken and completed the college level Nutrition course where I received an A. I have also reviewed the material across many other courses such as Anatomy and Biochemistry.

I have taken and completed college level astronomy. I spent a large portion of my class time studying and aiding my fellow classmates in preparing for future exams.
