Fun Facts

I love cooking and use it as a method to release my stress. I am really happy to see people enjoying my food. I also like hiking, camping, playing sports, and hanging out with my friends. I am learning to play the piano and hope that I can play my favorite song on my wedding day.

About Me

I graduated from Skyline College with an A.S. in Business Administration. Now I am majoring in Mathematics and want to minor in Statistics. Last year, I received the award of All California Academic Team and the Andrew V. Stevenson Merit Scholarship. I hope to transfer to UC Berkeley. My future goal is to work as a Data Analysist.

Experience

I am working as a Peer Mentor and a Supplemental Instruction Leader at Skyline College. Since I had the opportunity to attend lots of training related to how to work with students, I was able to gain hands-on experience regarding these skills. I want to share these skill sets that benefited me to others. As a member of an International Honor Society, I've been volunteering to conduct science labs to elementary and middle school students.

Approach

As an international student, I experienced how the U.S. educational environment has influenced me and helped me to become a better person. I used to be a shy person who rarely spoke my opinions and ideas, but I have changed since coming to the United States. I believe that everyone has an ability and an equal chance to be successful, that’s the reason why I am not only learning all useful skills for myself, but I also have a passion that I can pass my knowledge and skills to others.
