Fun Facts

I do graphic design on the side. I love music quite a bit and play the piano all the time. I am already a volunteer tutor. I also am a nanny, so I'm great with kids.

About Me

So, I grew up in a small town in Georgia, moved to Brentwood, TN right before the start of high school. Upon graduation from high school, I decided to go to New York University, where I was in the Liberal Studies program that included the study of art, philosophy, writing, and history. Due to financial reasons, I decided to transfer and Vanderbilt accepted me! I am a Junior at Vanderbilt with a major in Human and Organizational Development with a minor in History. I plan to go to law school.

Experience

During high school, I tutored two times a week at two different volunteer tutoring organizations in the greater Nashville area. Once I transferred to Vanderbilt, I joined an organization called Begin with Books and actually became involved again in the same program I was a part of in high school! So, I've tutored for multiple kids in the Nashville area and would love to actually get paid to do it at Frog!

Approach

I believe that kids have the ability to learn anything as long as you let them know they can do it! As a nanny, I've learned this skill is necessary and it has transferred over to my tutoring efforts. The high school I attended was incredibly stressful, and, at the time, I was battling both Anxiety and untreated ADHD, so I had to work really hard to find learning methods that work for me. Also, my father is a Biology teacher, so teaching has always been a part of my life!
