Fun Facts
My favorite fun fact about me is that I’m a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do! I began when I was 4 years old and continued for about 12 years. I got my first degree when I was 9, and my second degree at 11. I’ve also done Judo, which is grappling, and Kumdo, which is swords.
About Me
I am a sophomore at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. I’m a psychology major with double minors in behavioral neuroscience and classical studies. My goal is to become a counseling psychologist for children and adolescents. Many years of graduate school here I come!!!
Experience
In high school, I was always sought out for a Latin tutor. The language clicked really fast in my head, so I was always more advanced than the rest of the class. I’ve also taken college level Latin, where I help beginner students to study, as I was in intermediate and upper division courses. I’ve also done Big Brother Big Sister where I helped students after school to do their homework and further understand what they were learning.
Approach
As a tutor, I hope to work with you and tailor the sessions to how you learn best. I know how hard it can be to understand topics that don’t make sense, so I want to make it as easy as I can for you. I’ll work at your speed. If you don’t get it, we will go over it more than once. This is all for you.

Throughout all my years of Latin, I have easily excelled. The language clicked in my mind, in a way that it didn't for most other people. Since I was a little more advanced than most of my classmates, they came to me for help and assistance quite often. In high school, I tutored several people in all sections of Latin where they were able to understand the material better and found that they were getting higher grades. Tutoring Latin came as easily as the language did and I loved helping my friends!

I am a Psychology major at Saint Joseph's University, so I like to think I know a great deal about psychology. It is absolutely my favorite subject to learn about and bring into real life situations. There have been multiple times that I was able to help the students in my classes understand the material better, since they were lost. I am very passionate about psychology and would love to assist you in learning it further.
Writing Tutoring

While I haven't taken very many courses that are strictly for writing, in most of my classes that I have written papers for, my professors have complimented my writing style. I pride myself on trying to have a relatively sophisticated way of writing, because it can be seen as more mature than other students. I would be able to revise your papers and assist you in how you write.

I find art to be a fantastic way to express a person's emotions, which is why I decided to take some classes in high school. These easily became some of my favorite courses I had taken throughout my whole school career. I have a perfectionist take to art, so most of my projects were very detail oriented.
