Fun Facts
Some of my strongest passions include a love for travel and an obsession with Italian history. I zpent a summer in college studying the economics of Italian art and architecture in Florence, Italy. My time in the military provided me with the amazing opportunity to itch that travel bug and visit over 30 countries!
About Me
I am a recent graduate of Oglethorpe University where I graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Economics and a minor in mathematics. I plan to go on to get my Master's in Economics from the University of Kent in Canterbury, UK. My ultimate goal is to earn my PhD and teach economics as a professor.
Experience
During my last year at Oglethorpe University I had the opportunity to act as a student instructor or tutor for courses such as precalculus, statistics, calculus 1 and 2, and applied calculus. I have also acted as a tutor for introductory courses in both macro and microeconomics. I have worked with a wide array of students and I believe that working with Frog Tutoring offers me the opportunity to continue to impact and improve the understanding of students that I help.
Approach
Through high school and into adulthood I thought that I did not have any skill in math. Once in college I was forced by my degree to take calculus. I was terrified by what I had heard about the subject but the teacher of the course promised to work with me to be successful and spent hours of her time 1-on-1 working with me to build fundamental understanding instead of a formulaic approach. As a tutor, it is my responsibility to give students the fundamental tools needed to navigate any course.
