About Me

I am in the middle of pursuing my Ph.D. in Clinical Child Psychology at the UMN. My ultimate goal is to become a clinical psychology professor and diagnostician.

Experience

I have enjoyed working with children of all skills levels for years. Prior to entering Yale I had tutored for four years, with a primary focus on mathematics, and served as a summer school math assistant. More specifically, I worked with children from private families, ranging from Junior High to High School students, in a range of math subjects. I have more recently instructed and TAed undergraduate courses at UMN

Approach

I believe in a personalized approach that leverages the child's strengths and helps them develop their areas of weakness. When I actively tutored in the past I was in contact with both the teacher and the parent about learning objectives, ensured my supplemental material worked within the framework of the subject teacher's style and goals, and worked within the learning style and needs of the student.

Statistics Tutoring

My Ph.D. will be in Clinical Child Psychology. I enjoy spending one on one time identifying the student's strengths and leveraging them as areas of growth to support their development in the subject. I took AP Statistics as a sophomore and greatly enjoyed it. I have taken high-level stats classes throughout my education. I apply this knowledge on a day to day basis in the context of my neuroimaging, neurophysiology, and eye tracking research. I present high-level statistical concepts in an approachable manner during scientific presentations.
