In high school I was certified in word, excel, and power point. I have also mastered a college computer class. I am also the daughter and wife of computer technology experts, and have learned from them how to master computer skills. The school I work for calls me to fix their computer problems when they are not available.

Reading Comprehension Tutoring

Reading comprehension is very important for end of the semester exams, STAAR, and the SAT/ACT basically any test that helps your students future. In high school and college I learned great note taking and test taking skills for this subject.I promise with me your child will be acing those tests.

Study Skills Tutoring

In school I will admit the first few years were hard due to my test anxiety. However I had teachers that cared about my success. These teachers taught me note taking skills to help me study that improved my grades to where I graduated top 15% and with a 3.9 GPA. I can also prepare them for the fast paced learning environment of college. In college I have learned the different learning styles by identifying your childs learning style I will be able to give them the tools to improve study skills.

Writing Tutoring

I was one of the few students to get a 4 on my writing part of the big end of the year test. I understand in writing how to teach your students about attention grabbers, grammar, parts of story, paragraph structure, and how to map it all out. I will be able to prepare them for the many essays they will be writing in college.

History Tutoring

I excelled in middle school history. I loved learning about each event and I can make sure your child does to. I am able to teach them a note taking style that will help them love learning history and remember the important events of the past.

Elementary Math Tutoring

Elementary math is changing everyday and I have seen this change as a teaching assistant and substitute teacher. I have the tools to teach them from basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division all the way to finding x and y!

Science Tutoring

Science has always been my favorite subject and I have always excelled in this subject. Elementary science is all about discovery, earth science, the body, and introduction to experiments. I have taken AP bio and chem, and college bio organic chemistry that I aced with an A!

It is important for students to learn about our nations history. I have taken and aced AP history in all categories. I can give them the note taking skills adapted to their learning styles that will help them love learning the important events of the past.

ACT Reading Tutoring

The ACT is timed. Students need to learn how to get through the reading portion steady paced with out stress. I can teach them reading skills to help them do this and get through the other subjects as well.

STAAR Reading Tutoring

The STAAR is the new TAKS which means it is important for your child furthering their education. I can help give them the tools to study for this test, manage anxiety, and keep a steady pace during the test.
