Fun Facts
I am a former college athlete and I love exercising (usually 6-7 times a week) as it really helps me focus my thoughts and energy on what's important in life. I have a side job of writing about international men's freestyle wrestling for FloWrestling and beyond sports I think it provides me with a great insight into the nuances of different cultures and ethnic groups around the world. I don't watch much T.V. but when I do it's absolutely excessive amounts of The Americans or nature documentaries

Approach
I think one of the most important things in regards to any sort of learning and one's ability to achieve great things in any field is truly understanding the material and being able to apply it. I foster this understanding in myself by first understanding the material at its most basic level, understanding it in the context of the time, understanding it in today's context, seeing it's applicability, how it interacts with other fields, and then devising a structured yet flexible study plan for it

Psychology
Psychology Tutoring
As a undergraduate student at Queens, I have a 3.88 GPA in the psychology department with a 4.0 Spring semester. I believe my great strength as a psychology tutor will be showing the context of the subject material to those I work with and making them deeply passionate about it, and be able to understand complex fields and concepts and their interaction with one another and applicability. I find that through showing people there is a person behind every disorder and disease, it strengthens their empathy and desire to learn the material so as to help others.
Study Skills Tutoring
As a student at Queens, I am able to balance 20 credit hours with a intense exercise schedule plus a counseling internship along with a part time writing job and an active social life. I did this through creating structured but adaptable study plans that ensured I would be both test ready and be able to appreciate the subjects I studied. I also would create contingency plans for when this failed and how to cram as intelligently as possible.
Writing Tutoring
While part of the writing department at Queens University of Charlotte as a creative writing major, I was able to earn a 3.911 GPA. I believe my greatest strength as a writer is connection and exploration of complex ideas and fields that explains them in such a way that the lay person may be able understand the world from a new point of view and experience a new truth and form of experience from this point of view. As a tutor, I focus on strengthening the student's ability to connect and foster there ideas and giving them a voice to speak their truth into the world.
