I am a former dancer who loves to draw! I love seeing new places and exploring new surroundings. I'm attempting to be a chef, and although I'm currently failing I like experimenting with recipes.

About Me

I am a junior Early Childhood Education major at Texas Christian University. I have a 3.82 overall GPA and a 4.0 GPA in my major. I have been on the Dean's List for 3 consecutive semesters. I am getting an emphasis in English as a Second Language. I plan to be certified in both Elementary education and ESL next school year. After I finish my undergraduate degree, I plan to either go to graduate school immediately or teach for a few years, and then attend graduate school, for child development or child psychology.

I have tutored a family friend (4th grade) since September of 2014 focusing on reading-comprehension/texas/fort-worth">reading comprehension and writing skills (flexible curriculum which I write to cater the student’s needs). During the 2010-2011 school year I volunteered once a week in a kindergarten classroom, working individually with struggling students and being a classroom helper during lessons. At TCU, through my classes for my major, I have experience writing out lesson plans based on the TEKS standards (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) and have conducted lessons in math, writing, and science in 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms.


My tutoring approach involves giving each student individualized support to help them learn in their own way. I believe that every student has the ability to learn anything out there; some things come naturally while others require more assistance, but all learning is a valuable process. I want the students that I tutor to be able to understand the concept thoroughly, so I encourage lots of questions. I want students to figure out the way that they learn best, so that they are enabled to discover more things for themselves and grow in their learning.
