I have been fluent in Mandarin Chinese for 16 years and I converse with my grandparents in Mandarin. I have had 11 years of daily instruction in this language and obtained a perfect 7 for this subject in the IB Diploma test. I have personally applied these tools to memorizing pages of English Literature quotes, geographical case studies with statistical figures, and more. In my experience conducting research, I am also very familiar with gaining the most knowledge while speed reading and am able to read four full-length books in a day.

I scored an A on a 4,000-word Extended Essay I wrote for the IB Diploma exam, a variety of 'A's and 'A-'s for nearly all my college paper submissions covering a number of topics in the arts and social sciences, as well as won first prize for a 25-page thesis on media ethics. A multimedia website I wrote and designed on gender and sexual identity was also awarded a Discovery Scholar distinction for advancing discussion on a sociocultural issue. In previous internship experiences, I have also written copy for a website, drafted numerous proposals, and completed over 50 screenplay and book reviews.
