Fun Facts
I spent my whole life in Brooklyn; because of this I have grown to love exploring the city and what it has to offer. In my free time, I love to visit various museums. I kept busy in high school as Vice President of our school's Medical Science Club and was a part of the Tennis Team. My favorite vacation spot is Bermuda because it flourishes with history from its architecture and beautiful beaches.
About Me
I am a second year Health and Nutrition major at CUNY Brooklyn College; and my goal after I complete my undergraduate degree is to go on to graduate school and obtain my masters and work as a physician assistant. I enjoy working people and like to invest my time into my students.
Experience
Throughout high school I worked with students ranging from second grade to fifth grade in all subjects. I am most familiar in English, math and science. The students I worked with were from my local neighborhood originating from a variety of backgrounds. I also tutored several Asian students practicing English skills while working on their classwork.
Approach
As a child, I struggled focusing in my studies because my curiosity wandered to thoughts beyond my assignments. Through persistence and perseverance, I trained myself to have a positive attitude and establish healthy study habits. I transitioned these habits from a young peer to an excelling college student. I observe the student and aim to build a rapport with them in order to understand their strengths and weaknesses. I believe grades are important, but learning healthy skills are invaluable.

Health and Nutrition
English Tutoring
I have spent time in National Honor Society as a volunteer proofreading students' work. I looked at their essays and gave advice on how they could improve their writing.
ESL Tutoring
I grew up learning English, it is my first language. I have helped ESL students improve their writing as well as English students. Although similar approach, ESL students may learn the material at a slower pace.
Pre Algebra Tutoring
I have graduated high school with an advanced regents diploma which means that I have excelled in my algebra, geometry, and trigonometry regents. I can pass on this knowledge to others.
Writing Tutoring
Proofreading writing has become a hobby of mine. Friends in college ask for my insight and opinion when it comes to their writing and I am glad to share it. I have enjoyed working on writing from years before too.
Arts Tutoring
Creative expression is important to me, I love the arts. I grew up taking art classes in elementary through high school. During high school, I took advanced art classes too.
