In my free time, I love to skateboard. This was something I picked up in middle school and still enjoy doing on the weekends!
About Me
I grew up in Washington D.C., attended DCPS schools and graduated from DePaul University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology (GPA: 3.65). I am currently applying to medical schools, but in the meantime I have been working as a psychiatric technician at a hospital in Washington D.C.!
Experience
As an undergraduate, I was an organic chemistry teaching assistant, for both the lecture and laboratory portions of the course. I have completed general chemistry at the college level, in addition to a year of biochemistry. I loved working with students as an organic chemistry TA and am eager to continue helping students with chemistry!
Approach
I struggle with dyslexia, which was difficult as I made my way through the D.C. public school system. Over the years, I have found various ways to keep myself focused and I found my academic niche in college - and I hope to help others find theirs! As a tutor, I try my best to make things applicable. For chemistry, I enjoy giving examples of medications or household chemicals to help students see why the sometimes difficult subject can be really fascinating!
