I’m passionate about education. I like seeing that proverbial “light” come on when I see someone finally “get it”.
I enjoy reading books from the “New Books” section in my local public library. I get to read some fresh new ideas.
I like to go out, hang out, and see movies with my wife.
About Me
I have college degrees in Electronics Engineering Technology and Business/Finance. I had a 20+ year career as a computer designer and engineer, designing circuits, building prototypes, and writing programs in many computer programming languages.
I’m religious and a practicing member of my Bahá’í Faith community.

Experience
While in engineering school I was a tutor for a year or so. I’m especially well-versed and experienced in writing college-level academic essays. Lately, I’ve spent over three years as a substitute teacher in public schools, K-12.
Approach
I did OK in school, myself. I started a bit slow in a few areas so I’m familiar with how many students struggle with study skills and certain subjects like math and the sciences. I make it more interactive and fun. Communication skills are critical to any academic and career success, so I stress this in all areas.
As a tutor, I’m patient, creative, and both process-oriented and results-oriented. I reinforce communications, organizational, and study skills along with subject content.
