Fun Facts

I love to take part in outdoor sports especially tennis and soccer. On weekends, there is a high chance of you finding me somewhere in the playing field. Though I am in a graduate school, I still don't know how to swim. I really love traveling and experiencing different cultures/places, and so far I have visited three countries. Next destination on my list is Brazil.

About Me

I am a graduate student pursuing master's degree in Petroleum engineering at The University of Texas at Austin. I did my undergraduate studies in Chemical Engineering in India. After graduation, I will be joining BP America as a reservoir engineer, which I have always wanted to be.

During my undergraduate studies, I was a volunteer member of a NGO called "Gopali Youth Welfare Society". It gave me an opportunity to austin">tutor and interact with poor kids who could not afford to go to school for various reasons. During that period, I had made up my mind to teach again whenever and wherever an opportunity is available. Now that I am working with Frog austin">Tutoring, I am very excited about the prospect of teaching, mentoring, and interacting with students once again.

When I was in high school, I was finding it difficult to cope with all the different subjects, and felt demoralized during school. Luckily enough, I found a austin">tutor who was very encouraging, tolerant and persistent with me. He always told me to ask as many questions as possible in order to unravel deep concepts. He presented those classroom subjects and concepts in such a simple manner that no subject was daunting anymore. He made me realize how simple things are if presented in a particular way. I try to emulate all those attributes in my teaching style and feel that teaching should always be simplistic and should lay a strong foundation that will help the students for the rest of their lives.
