Fun Facts

One fun fact about me is that I play football for Portland State, I play defensive end and have always loved the game. I have three brothers, two older one younger. I also speak some Japanese and I really want to go to Japan someday.

About Me

I am a junior Mathematics major at Portland State University and will be applying to the Master's program soon. My end goal is to become a professor so learning how to get information across is important to me.

Experience

During my senior year of high school, I worked as a tutor for Japanese for my school's Japanese program. My brother also suffers from dyslexia and I worked with him when he was younger with mathematics.

Approach

When it comes to Mathematics nothing helps like practice, the more you do problems the easier they become. I try to offer both explanations as to why things work the way they do while also allowing students to explore and try their own things. Once they get the general feel of the problems I try to show them different forms of the same questions so they can understand them and not get caught off guard.
