Fun Facts

I have a weird ability to say words backwards, I won the spelling bee in 4th grade at my elementary school, and I speak some Italian. I am passionate about the arts, I danced ballet for 13 years, and I went to a theater camp growing up and actually once played Frodo (a boy character from Lord of the Rings) in a play - I'm still not sure why they cast me in that role! Two summers ago I had the amazing privilege of spending 6 weeks in Rome, studying Italian and Art History. I love reading and writ

About Me

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas with almost all of my immediate and extended family there. I attended a Montessori School from kindergarten until third grade which had a tremendous impact on me and gave me learning skills I cherish to this day. I then attended public school until I graduated in 2009 in the top 3% of my graduating class. I was involved in choir, theater, and debate which became my main focus in high school. I truly believe that we le

Experience

I've had wonderful tutoring experiences throughout high school and college. In college I did several tutoring hours in freshman and sophomore-level math for National Honor Society. I also had the privilege of working in the Student Ambassador Program in which I worked one-on-one with a student who was having trouble passing his classes during lunch hour; we worked mainly on English and World Geography assignments. In college, I was accepted in a tutor program at the KIPP (Knowledge is Power Prog
