About Me

Texas Christian University, Political Science with International Relations, Sophomore (Junior by hours), GPA is 3.45, Law School. I hope to be a successful advocate in the DFW area. I received "outstanding delegation" in Model UN, advanced to the quarterfinals in moot court 3 times, and was awarded 6th, 10th, and 16th best speakers at those tournaments. I have also made the Dean's List.

My tutoring experience includes tutoring high schoolers for the ACT and SAT. I have also tutored college level classes in Spanish 1 and 2 and helped improve the students grade from a low b to a low A. I have a great deal of experience tutoring in judicial politics, as well as international politics. I am very well versed in political science and would be available to help with that. I particularly enjoy tutoring Spanish becauseI grew up in an area where Spanish was the language predominantly spoken.

My tutoring approach encompasses a verbal and student led session. In the past, I have noticed that one way many students learn is to relay the information back to me verbally. In a sense, they are "teaching" the information back to me. I believe this approach is helpful because it allows the student to take control and feel comfortable expressing their feelings toward the subject we are learning. Flashcards are another good mechanism that I use. I think that they help memorization and add fun to the learning process.
