Fun Facts

I love photography and video production. I follow many professional photographers in social media. It's really amazing to me how much beauty and fun can be present in a picture, and how a person can capture the magic. I've taken some courses in photography and video production and I hope to keep learning and once I graduate, to make this hobby a side gig. I also like to travel and I've been to Spain, Italy, Poland, Cuba, Guatemala, and Mexico.

About Me

I'm an Economist and currently, I'm a student and candidate for the Master in Statistic and the Certificate in Computational Intelligence at Portland State University. My ultimate goal is to become a Data Scientist and be able to discover the causes and complex relationships between variables to explain phenomenons. I've discovered that Math is behind almost everything these days!

Experience

In High School, I had the opportunity to tutor Literature. And more recently, I was a Math tutor for kids struggling with homelessness in the process to get their GED, and for migrant kids in elementary and middle school.

Approach

As a child, I was fortunate to have my dad, a Civil Engineer, to patiently teach me from basic Math to Advanced Calculus. He was always very easy to follow and very supportive when I get frustrated. I'd like to share what I learned from him: optimism and confidence that you can find the solution with the right tricks. Math is all about tricks! It's easy!
