I love Biblical Hebrew and Biblical studies. I also enjoying learning about different languages and cultures. I walk my Boxer everyday and I play the guitar (though not very well). Unexpected to some, but hockey is my favorite sport and I enjoy looking at the analytical data.

About Me

I have a Master's in Biblical Studies and a Master of Theology, both from Multnomah University. I have written two thesis, both on the Hebrew Bible and have also worked with a Christian Publisher in proofreading and content creation. I am currently an adjunct professor at Multnomah in the spring.

Experience

I have tremendous experience in tutoring. I have been tutoring in math since I was in middle school and I as I have gotten older, I have become immersed in tutoring in multiple ways. First, I am a Hebrew tutor at Multnomah University, I have been a Greek tutor, and I also am a tutor in ESL at Clark Community College. I have worked with groups and in 1-on-1 settings.

Approach

Each student has different reasons for needing a tutor. My goal is to access where they are doing well and what areas of weakness they have. Is it reading comprehension? Is it organizing ideas? Is it an inability to take notes correctly? Is it poor time management? Or is simply more practice is needed? Once the struggle has been identified, we (the student and I) can make a plan for how to best to improve.
