Fun Facts

I am a big fan of staying both physically and mentally active. Physically, I played varsity basketball, soccer, and baseball in high school, and I continue playing sports in college through intramurals. Mentally, I love learning new things, as I push myself to learn and try new subjects. I hope to write a book one day, but I do not know the topic yet!

About Me

I am a second-year student at TCU (but a junior by hours) and a member of the John V. Roach honors college. I plan to double major in Accounting and Finance and minor in economics. I hope to work for a bank or an investment firm after college, and possibly go for an MBA somewhere along the way.

Experience

I graduated from a small high school in San Antonio called Keystone School. Named by the College Board "the best school in the world" in 2006, Keystone is highly rigorous and helped me develop into the student that I am today. In high school, I was a member of the National Honor Society and earned high standardized test scores and several high AP test scores. Regarding my tutoring experience, in high school, I often tutored my younger siblings and I continue to help tutor classmates and friends.

Approach

For a while, I did not enjoy the rigor of my K-12 school. In middle school, I had difficulty staying focused and motivated. My father would hire tutors to keep me on task and headed in the correct academic direction, but, as time went on, the tutors came less and less frequently as I learned how and why I should do my work, and do it well. As a tutor, I bring with me my history of getting through academic confusion and overall indolence, enabling me to teach subjects and tools for future success
