Fun Facts

I have worked at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI). My first summer there, I hosted a booth talking to visitors about why I have white hair, and designed a sole for a running shoe. The next summer, I escorted visitors trough a model of Destiny Lab aboard the International Space Station. The whole room rotated around you to simulate weightlessness. I am a working DJ, and I keep over 3,000 songs with me at all times.

About Me

As of fall 2019, I'm a Junior at Portland State University, and a part-time student employee at PSU Campus Recreation. I'm majoring in math, with the intent to teach. I know some Spanish.

Experience

I have taken math classes, right up through multi-variable calculus. I have worked with other students at the tutoring center at Portland State, and shared extensive sessions with graduate students in teaching positions, learning and teaching others. I have taken the SAT, IB and AP Math exams for high school students.

Approach

I teach without paper -- completely digitally. I take problems from online or scans from your textbook and curate them on my iPad in a manner where we can work through them together on-screen. You get a PDF of everything we do sent by email at the end of the session. If you prefer to work on paper, that's great. I scan your work as we go and insert it into the canvas. Then I can check your work digitally and you keep the master paper copy. We never lose work!
