Fun Facts

One thing that people notice right from meeting me is that I love all music. I am almost constantly listening to music no matter what I am doing. Another fun fact about me is that I love being active and outdoors. I play tennis and basketball and I love gymnastics. Along with sports, I love hiking and snowboarding. One thing not many people know about me is that I really enjoy sketching!

About Me

I am a freshman at the denver">University of Denver currently majoring in biology and mechanical engineering with a minor in psychology and focus in cognitive neuroscience. Directly out of college I plan on getting a job as a biomedical engineer. After this, I hope to attend medical school and eventually obtain a residency in neurosurgery.

I have been employed at a local denver">tutoring center called All Minds Matter in California for about a year and a half. At this denver">tutoring center, I helped kids of ages ranging from 12 to 18. I also worked as an academic coach to improve students' study skills. I have experience with students diagnosed with ADHD and ADD as well as other learning disabilities. Previous to working at All Minds Matter, I worked as a self-employed denver">tutor for students attending my high school.

As a denver">tutor, I find teaching is most effective after gauging a student's preferred learning techniques. Using this, I guide the student to come to an understanding of the material in their own specific way. In general, I try to get a grasp on the base of a student's understanding of the material and from there I try to fit an individualized method to the child's perceived abilities.
