My passion people can tell you about me is working with children. Being able to help and watch their smiling faces is so rewarding..My favorite past time is spending time with family, which includes my dog Rupert. He loves walks and play time. Also, I find yoga very relaxing so in my spare time you will always see me trying a new pose.

About Me

FWISD has been my home for the last several years. I've been in education the last 12 years from Pre-k to fifth grade. I have worked with the best teachers which, has enable me to find my gift in teaching.

Experience

Being with FWISD for a long time , I have the opportunity to work in many positions specialized in Reading and Math Star tutoring for several schools. Also,specialized a year in a reading program for dyslexia using Fountas & Phinnell which,is one best program available and another year tutoring small group for beginning learners math and reading teaching things such as, sights words , phonics and blending. Finally I have substituted for elementary off and on since my education career.

Approach

Basically I feel children want to learn. Sometimes its just hard to grasp concepts in a large classroom setting. Therefore, I try my best to make them feel confident in there learning abilities.I use a lot of strategies to see what works for them. How one child learns may be different from another. Once I know that I build upon it to bring out the best they can be.
