Fun Facts

Creative writing has been a passion of mine since I was a toddler. As a three and four year old, I would have my mom write down the stories I created in a journal. I have not lost this passion, and I truly believe it has helped me to love the English language!

About Me

I am a student at DePaul University in Chicago, although I transferred from Indiana University Bloomington. After struggling with picking a major, I decided to go with my gut on what I know will make me happy. Thus, I am studying to become an English and/or French teacher for middle school or high school.

I was a French chicago">tutor all four years of high school, and I have continued to help chicago">tutor friends in English and French for free throughout college.

I think the most important part to chicago">tutoring anyone is first understanding the way in which they learn best. For example, while some students are oral learners, others grasp information through writing. In addition, I believe that one of the most useful tactics to teaching anyone is to make it fun. When teaching French, I always resort to rhymes and songs so that it sticks with my students long after the test they are studying for is over.
