Fun Facts

I like to skateboard and I am a big hockey fan. Let's shred some physics problems!

About Me

I am a recent PhD from the University at Buffalo where I studied subatomic particles using the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Switzerland. My physics research involved a lot of computer programming using the C++ and Python languages. Before that, I graduated from Union College with an honors double BS in Math and Physics. I am always coding and learning more about the ever evolving technology in software engineering.

Experience

As a physics graduate student I spent three years being a TA to hundreds of students in intro physics. My average class sizes were around 40 students but I also held constant office hours where I helped train students one-on-one and in small groups. I always received the most positive feedback. Before graduate school, I was a summer skateboard counselor where I taught kids of all ages how to roll around the park. Finally, in my undergraduate studies I was an intro physics and calculus tutor.

Approach

The best way to learn is to be happy with what you're doing. My positive personality and reinforcement will be addicting, especially when working through already stressful physics problems. In any problem I strive to relate the conditions to your surroundings and make sure there is a clear picture of the concepts being used. If not, we go back to the fundamentals and build from there. This way you will gain confidence and always find your starting point when attacking your next exam.
