I love food. I've been a farmer, gardener, and studied the food system. In my free time, you can find me in the kitchen cooking up new meals and treats. I also have two cats that I adore.

About Me

I have a love for teaching and find any way I can incorporate it into my life. I teach out in the community, teach yoga, and tutor online! I've been teaching in some capacity since middle school (10 years!). I enjoy working with people to solve complex problems, and I'm looking forward to working with you!

Experience

I have a graduate degree in Sociology, have taken multiple advanced courses in Statistics, and have a minor in Spanish. My experience includes two years as a graduate teaching assistant at Colorado State University, one year as a professional tutor. While working as a graduate teaching assistant, I taught in front of classes and helped students with homework for statistics and sociology courses.

Approach

My teaching philosophy is to guide and show, not tell, students how to complete complex problems and assignments. This includes going through multiple examples to make theoretical concepts concrete and asking questions that aid the student in fully understanding concepts. Students will be able to solve new problems on their own.
